Sales Lead
Location: UK (field-based with regular time at the brewery)
Salary: £29,120 (rising to £30,160 upon successful completion of probation)
Achievable Commission Based Bonus Scheme
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (some evening and weekend work may be required)
Holiday: 22 days (rising to 25 after 2 years of service) + bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
Mileage: HMRC business mileage rates
We are an independent brewery with ambitious growth plans, and we are looking for a commercially driven Sales Lead to build and lead our sales function.
This is a pivotal role working directly with the Board of Directors to shape strategy, expand distribution, and drive revenue across on-trade, off-trade, and direct-to-consumer website sales. You’ll have the autonomy to create structure, processes, and relationships that scale with the business - while remaining hands-on in winning and managing accounts that's typical in an entrepreneurial brewing environment.
The Role
Design and deliver a UK multi-channel sales strategy aligned with business objectives
Build and lead the sales function, establishing processes and reporting
Secure and grow listings across pubs, bars, restaurants, and hospitality groups
Expand presence in independent retail, bottle shops, and regional off trade
Drive commercial performance of the brewery’s website sales channel
Develop strong customer relationships and negotiate commercial terms
Forecast sales to support production planning
Represent the brewery at trade events, tastings, and festivals
Provide structured commercial insight and reporting to the Board
About You
Proven experience in beer, drinks, or FMCG sales
Strong understanding of UK on-trade and off-trade routes to market
Experience building or scaling a sales capability
Confident negotiator and relationship builder
Commercially analytical and target-driven
Comfortable operating strategically while staying hands-on
Passion for independent beer and brand-led growth
